Fuel filler gasket to seal between the Aston quick access cap and the body. 1/16″ EPDM rubber is impervious to fuel, air, water, and sunlight. Kit includes gasket and six (6) Stainless Steel thin hex-head bolts and nylock nuts. Bolts are 1-1/4″ long.
Yes, you could use countersunk screws, but the idea is to be period correct. Original cars were delivered with thin, aircraft-style hex-head bolts.
This gasket is designed for use with the original style/size fuel filler cap. If the cap you have has a base that is smaller than 125mm (5″), it may not work. The gasket is 3-1/2″ ID, 5-1/16″ OD with a 4-1/2″ bolt circle.
These gaskets are also a direct replacement for the Shelby GT350 Mustangs.
