Expansion Surge Tank Big Block

$595.00
sold out

So you've invested a bunch of money into your big block. The originals used a modified Galaxie expansion tank for the all important cooling job. This puts the fill at the highest point for more effective filling, burping and bleeding of your coolant system. Don't deal with the risk of paper thin Swiss cheese brass on an old contaminated expansion tank.
Built with a new heavy gauge brass tank crimped together with the internal baffle/level plate. Heavy gauge steel bracket with reinforcing gussets per the originals. Thick steel thermostat flange. Brass tube elbow. Brass outlet tube can be assembled as a lefty or a righty depending on your radiator. Left is original and works for the Fluidyne or original radiators . Beaded copper overflow tube. Brass fill neck. We can also add a brass half coupling to the bottom for your thermal fan switch. Tanks are soldered together and leak tested to 20 psi. We use hi temp silver solder for stronger joints. Natural finish with paint in your color choice available.

Note this fits original and original configuration cars with an FE motor.
